Safety Professional - Industrial & Commercial Building Project

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement safety protocols and practices for Industrial & Commercial Building and Marine projects, Ensure compliance with local, state, and national safety regulations and standards. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate safety into project planning and execution. Oversee the training and development of site personnel on EHS protocols, ensuring all workers are equipped with the necessary knowledge. Investigate accidents or near-misses on-site, determining root causes and recommending safety improvements. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on safety performance and EHS audits for upper management and regulatory bodies. Monitor the environmental impact of the project and ensure waste management and pollution control are in line with company and regulatory standards. Foster a culture of safety awareness across all teams on-site, promoting proactive safety behaviors. Required Qualifications: Educational Background : B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or a related field). Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering may also be considered. Experience : 4-8 years of experience in infrastructure, Commercial and Industrial building & Marine projects. Certifications : Certification in Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is preferred. Technical Skills : Knowledge of construction site processes, safety regulations, and EHS best practices. Familiarity with marine project safety standards and environmental regulations. Soft Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Desired Skills: Experience working in a variety of projects, including commercial and industrial building & Marine projects. Familiarity with project management software and tools for safety tracking and reporting. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make quick, effective decisions.
