Job Summary:

Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and company safety regulations.
• Organize safety training sessions, fire drills, and emergency response programs.
• Investigate accidents or near-miss incidents and prepare detailed reports with preventive measures.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, inspection logs, and compliance records.
• Coordinate with department heads to promote a culture of safety across all operations.
• Liaise with external safety agencies and government bodies during inspections or audits.
• Ensure all employees use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow safe work practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering.

• Certification:

  Diploma in Industrial Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH preferred.

• Experience:

  2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in manufacturing, construction, or industrial setup.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, observation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to train employees and handle emergency situations effectively.
