Safety Officer

1. Position Summary

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety policies, conducting risk assessments, monitoring workplace environments, and promoting a strong safety culture. This role ensures compliance with local regulations, company standards, and industry best practices to minimize risks and prevent accidents.

2. Key Responsibilities Safety Compliance & Monitoring

• Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety inspections and audits on-site.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct regular safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Assist in developing safety training materials and manuals.

Incident & Accident Management

• Respond to and investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and ensure implementation of corrective measures.

Risk Assessment & Documentation

• Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Risk Assessments (RA), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) reviews.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation such as logs, reports, checklists, and compliance records.

Emergency Preparedness

• Support emergency response planning and conduct regular drills (fire, evacuation, rescue, etc.).
• Ensure proper functioning and availability of emergency equipment.

Safety Communication & Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and contractors on safety matters.
• Participate in safety meetings and represent the HSE department when needed.

3. Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
