Role & responsibilities : The Lab Helper will support the laboratory team in day-to-day operations, ensuring cleanliness, timely arrangement of lab materials, and assisting in basic activities to maintain smooth lab functioning. This is a contractual role, focused on providing operational assistance to technical staff. Preferred candidate profile Assist in preparation, arrangement, and shifting of lab equipment and materials. Clean and maintain glassware, instruments, and work areas in the laboratory. Dispose of laboratory waste as per safety guidelines. Support lab staff in arranging samples, labeling, and organizing storage. Receive, unpack, and store chemicals, consumables, and lab supplies. Carry out routine errands within the lab and to other departments, as instructed. Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards. Provide assistance during experiments, trials, or audits as directed by lab personnel.

Emergency Preparedness and Response, Designing and managing emergency response plans for fire, chemical spills, and toxic gas leaks, fire drills, evacuation protocols, and management of fire crew and ERT teams, emergency equipment such as fire suppression systems, gas detectors, and maintain inventories of personal protective equipment (PPE), firefighting and safety appliances, Keep fire and safety appliances are in working condition i.e. safety shower, breathing air supply, sprinkler systems, alarm systems, fire extinguishers, MCP, Fire hydrant and monitors, Fire water pumps etc. 9. Periodical review of applicable statutory compliance i.e. ROR and i.e. Factories, Petroleum, SMPV, Gas cylinder Rule, GFR, CWC, Act, National and international and other fire safety code/ standards. 10. Ensure compliance and liaison with Regulatory authorities i.e. DISH, PESO, DIA/ DEFS, Dist. Authorities. 11. Investigate any accident / incident/ near miss occurrence reported ASAP in 24 hr. and share to all personnel concerned. 12. Obtaining Statutory approvals from DISH, PESO, GIDC, etc. 13. Ensure daily routine inspection, maintenance and services carried out by the fire crew and FSI as per schedule. 14. Vender development, Coordination and Communication 15. On time Procurement of PPEs and firefighting appliances, spare parts and required services carried out of Ambulance, fire tender, firefighting and lifesaving equipment. 16. Ensure that 100% new workers and employees are undergoing through Induction training. 17. Prepare training planner and schedule training accordingly. cover all employees for mandatory and functional training. 18. Conducts PEHSR for new facility before taken in use and on completion of MOC jobs. 19. Development of Safety Policies and Procedures. 20. Safety Audits and Inspections carried out as per schedule. 21. Ensure employees and workers use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) effectively. 22. Induction training imparted to all visitors. 23. Impart One day training for ERT members. 24. Maintaining documentation of incidents and near misses for analysis and continuous improvement. 25. Fire Safety Regulations and Practices. 26.
