Safety Officer – Precast Plant

Job Brief :

Lead precast plant safety by conducting regular risk assessments, inspections, and drills; develop HIRA-based policies; monitor PPE, permits, and equipment compliance; investigate incidents; and maintain safety and vehicle documentation for audits and regulatory adherence.

Job Location: Bawla , Ahmedabad

Roles And Responsibilities;

-Conduct regular site inspection to identify potential hazards related to precast factory handling and equipment use

-Develop and implement factory-specific policies (HIRA) and procedures related to safety as per precast industry standards

-Promote safety awareness among workers by conducting safety induction, tool-box-talk and mock drills as per monthly plan

-Monitor the use of PPE and ensure compliance by all factory personnel and report deviations

-Investigate any safety incidents or near misses and document with corrective or preventive measures

-Ensure that all equipment including cranes, hoists, and lifting devices are maintained by providing TPI and SWL tags for easy identification and tracking

-Review and monitor safety permits e.g. hot work permit, confined space permit, lifting permits to ensure they are meeting the compliances

-Conduct regular emergency drills and ensure plant personnel are aware of emergency procedures (Fire, First Aid, and evacuation)

-Prepare safety documentation for project audits and regular inspections and regulatory compliance checks

-Maintain documents of transport and other plant-use vehicles

Education And Qualifications:

-ADIS / PDIS / NEBOSH or any safety courses

Work Experience:

Minimum 4–5 Years as Safety Officer with a manufacturing company

Skill Sets:

-Risk Assessment & HIRA

-Regulatory Compliance like Factories Act, OSHA/EHS standards, and fire-safety regulations

-Skilled in Incident Investigation

-Skilled at Training & Communication

-Audit & Documentation skills
