Job description

Role & responsibilities

* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and statutes such as Building And Other Construction Workers

* Ensure all employees are in compliance with safety norms

* To establish budget proposals for the operation of the Occupational health and safety and specific training programs

* To coordinate the training of personnel in areas safety precautions like PPE at work, first aid methods , emergency preparedness, hazardous waste management, CPR, accident prevention and implementation of safe practices to prevent personal injuries to create health and safety awareness at all levels within the site.

* Promote safety initiatives and develop risk mitigation strategies

* Identify the causes of accident and advise on any improvement in safety standards that need to be made

* Address all injured and accidents and maintain statistical records of reported accidents

* Render first aid to workers and visitors in cases of injury or illness

* Carry out area safety and equipment inspections

* Conduct safety drills and maintain accurate administrative records of the drills carried out

* To respond to employees safety concerns on need basis

Preferred candidate profile

* Graduation from a recognized university. Diploma in construction safety will be preferred

* At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction / real estate domain

* Proficient in English, Hindi and Telugu

* Ability to work on own initiative

* Empathetic and Social enough to address workers from diverse population

* Team player with good communication skills

* Attention to detail

* Proficient in MS-Office
