Safety Officer

Job Designation: Safety officer

Job Description:

• Develop and implement fire and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and implement necessary fire prevention measures.
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of fire safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, alarms, hydrants, sprinkler systems).
• Carry out regular fire drills and emergency evacuation drills.
• Investigate fire incidents and safety violations, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits across departments and work sites.
• Train employees on fire safety protocols, first aid, and safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory fire safety requirements.
• Monitor storage and handling of flammable materials and hazardous substances.
• Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency response teams.
• Maintain up-to-date records of fire safety inspections, permits, and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering or related field.
• Certification in Fire Safety, Industrial Safety, NEBOSH/OSHA (preferred).
• Minimum [1] years of relevant experience in fire and safety roles.
• In-depth knowledge of fire safety codes, occupational health, and safety regulations.
• Experience with safety management systems and emergency response planning.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
