Safety Manager

As a Project Manager Safety (SIC), your primary responsibility will be to conduct pre-job meetings and assess the risks associated with the project. You will be tasked with building the competency of contract workers by providing job-based training on various safety topics including but not limited to Chemical safety, Work permit, LOTO, Material handling, Machine guarding, PPEs, Fire safety, Electrical safety, Hot work, Work at height, and Confined space. Your role will also involve implementing safety nudges at the field level, evaluating the performance of contract workers, and generating data for contractor safety performance. You will be expected to roll out safety intervention programs, act as a coach and mentor to the contractor workforce and supervisors in the field, and develop and issue monthly management information system (MIS) reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating monthly contractor safety committee meetings and ensuring the effective functioning of the committee. Administering Safety Passport (e-Passport) will also be a part of your duties. The ideal candidate for this role should have experience in EHS standards, a passion for training on safety topics, and previous experience in industries such as Cement, Steel, Power Plants, or Chemical Industry. A minimum of 10+ years of experience, with specific experience in the Cement Industry, is desired for this position. The minimum educational qualification required is an Engineering Degree along with a Safety Qualification (PDIS or ADIS).,
