We are inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee and Assistant Manager- US Sales and Use Tax compliance.Lead the Accounting and Financial reporting team out of Genpact. - Ensure timeliness and Accuracy of all deliverables - Provide guidance to team for correct accounting treatment - will be working as escalation point if neededResponsibilitiesThe person will be responsible for day to day and accounting and month end close journals Reviewand coordination. Review and Validate Inputs for journals processing. Balance sheet reconciliations Review and clearing of open items. Identify process improvement and standardization of process. Month end Financial Reporting Preparation and Review. Investigate and research open items and follow up/escalate with different teams for resolution ofopen items. Adherence to the internal/external US GAAP/SOX audits

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications
Accounting graduates with relevant experience, CA/CMA preferred.. Working experience with ERPs, specifically SAP would be preferred. Experience in reconciliations tool eg Blackline would be added advantage. Prior experience with Retail Clients with same size would be preferred. Good Interpersonal skills and ability to manage complex task and communicate well Leadershipbehaviors, Drive Innovation, Act Like an Owner, Inspire OtherDevelop Self and Other Effective leadership and team management abilities

Preferred qualifications
Strong Accounting and Analytical skills. Good understanding of accounting GAAP (US GAAP preferred) principles and strong analyticalskills. Ability to prioritize work, multi-task and drive things to closure. Good hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoftapplications Collaboratewith System, Customers and Key Stakeholders. Prior experience working remotely in a US time zone would be a plus Attention toDetail: Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small: showing concernfor all aspects of the job, accurately checking processes and tasks.Determining Financial Impact: Understanding the financial consequences of decisions.
