Role & responsibilities :- A room attendant in a hotel is primarily responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay for guests . Their duties include cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking rooms, as well as providing basic customer service. Here's a more detailed breakdown of their responsibilities: Cleaning and Maintenance: Cleaning Rooms: This involves tasks like dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing furniture and fixtures. Sanitizing Bathrooms: This includes cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, and tubs, and ensuring all surfaces are disinfected. Changing Linens: Replacing used bed linens and towels with fresh ones. Restocking Supplies: Replenishing items like toiletries, soaps, shampoos, coffee, tea, and water. Emptying Trash and Ashtrays: Removing waste and ensuring proper disposal. Cleaning Common Areas: This may include hallways, stairwells, and other guest areas. Reporting Maintenance Issues: Identifying and reporting any maintenance problems or damages to the appropriate department. Ensuring Room Security: Checking that rooms are properly secured and that guests' privacy is respected.
