Your key responsibilities
A large part of your role will be engagement delivery and provide support to executives for business development. Well expect you to lead and deliver telecom infrastructure review/assessment engagements focussed on compliance and security requirements with very minimal supervision. We also expect you to support executives in development of proposals, presentations and other business development activities. You will be responsible for the delivery and quality of the review/assessment activities to our clients. You will have responsibility for;
Understand the strategic, technological, organizational, regulatory and technical challenges of operators To provide knowledge on new Telecom technologies (5G, Fiber, FWA and ICT (Managed Connectivity, Cloud, Cybersecurity) as well as the regulation of the sector Having depth knowledge in Telecom Infrastructure devices, telecom networks, telecom supporting devices and its architecture. Developing the strategies, policies, plans, programs, and infrastructure of the telecommunications and information technology sector Experience in reviewing the establishment, operation, and maintenance of public telecommunications networks, and the provisions governing infrastructure sharing by facilities-based service providers Understanding on the risks to Telecom industry such as DDoS attacks, Data Breaches etc. Experience in Network Resilience and Segmentation activities Ensure a constant watch on trends, innovations and realities in the telecom market Produce benchmarks to assess performance and identify growth and diversification levers in line with industry best practices Segmenting targets and anticipating market developments Develop telecom transformation roadmaps, evolution scenarios, governance or process models adapted Translating customer issues into concrete and structured recommendations Contribute to the drafting of strategic deliverables and feedback to stakeholders Contribute to business development such as writing proposals Travelling to MENA region at client premises for engagement delivery (domestic and international) Your role will broadly constitute 60% engagement delivery and 40% business development.
Skills and attributes for success
An existing track record of successful engagement delivery in building security strategy and security roadmap is expected of all candidates for this role. A Big 4 background or comparable consulting experience is highly advantageous. A broad background across security domains is expected with specific experience in two or more of the following areas, essential; Knowledge in Telecom security and 7-15 years of hands-on experience with key components of cybersecurity consulting incl.Telecom Infrastructure Assessments and road-mapping, Telecom Network & infrastructure security, Telecommunication security transformation, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, security governance, risk and compliance, security awareness, cloud security Experience in working independently or as part of a large team to delivery Risk services on its own or within large complex projects. Practical experience with conducting risk assessments and testing of controls Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of data analytics methods Possession of the CISA, ISO 27001 LA/LI certification or equivalent Demonstrated leadership abilities Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills Excellent command in written and spoken English Experience in managing professional service project teams
To qualify for the role, you must have
High-level higher education (Engineering degree, master's degree, or equivalent. You have a minimum of 8 years' proven experience in the telecoms sector, in an operator, service provider or consulting firm environment Ability to structure approaches and deliverables Good customer and internal communication Good knowledge of the telecom sector and its technological developments Good knowledge of the technical and business challenges of the sector Strong skills in strategy, marketing or business development Communication skills (oral/written) in English Certifications ISO 27001/ISO 22301/CISA/CISSP/CRISC Excellent communication skills with consulting experience preferred A valid passport for travel.
