Job Description

Retail Sales Officer plays a crucial role in driving sales and enhancing customer experiences within a retail environment. They are responsible for welcoming customers, assisting with product selection, processing transactions, and managing inventory. The officer also contributes to overall store operations, including maintaining a clean and organized environment. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet customers, provide product information, answer questions, and assist with purchases. Sales and Transactions: Process sales, handle cash and credit card payments, process returns and exchanges, and manage customer transactions accurately. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks, report discrepancies, and ensure products are properly displayed. Store Operations: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, restock shelves, and ensure product areas meet merchandising standards. Promotions and Sales: Understand and promote current sales, promotions, and loyalty programs to enhance the customer experience and drive sales. Additional Responsibilities: Building Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members. Meeting Sales Targets: Contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets. Following SOPs: Adhere to standard operating procedures and policies. Loss Prevention: Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring the sales floor and reporting suspicious activity. Skills Required: Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and resolve issues. Sales: Ability to effectively sell products, understand customer needs, and upsell. Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the company's products and services. Inventory Management: Ability to manage stock levels, ensure proper displays, and report discrepancies. Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve team goals. Organizational Skills: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and manage inventory effectively. Problem-Solving: Address customer issues and resolve sales challenges. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer Skills: Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other computer applications.
