Job Description

The Retail Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring an outstanding shopping experience. The role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, maintaining store displays, and meeting sales targets. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Customer Service Greet customers and understand their needs to recommend suitable products. Achieve daily/monthly sales targets and contribute to store profitability. Provide detailed product information, features, and benefits. Handle customer queries, complaints, and exchanges professionally. 2. Store Operations Ensure the store is clean, organized, and properly merchandised. Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management. Conduct physical stock checks and prevent stock losses/shrinkage. Process billing, payments, and returns according to company policies. 3. Product Knowledge & Promotion Maintain strong knowledge of product offerings, pricing, and promotions. Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities. Participate in promotional activities, in-store events, and display setups. 4. Reporting & Documentation Track sales, customer feedback, and inventory movement. Prepare daily sales reports as required. Communicate customer insights and market trends to management. Skills & Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Customer-centric approach Ability to persuade and close sales Basic computer skills (POS, billing systems) Good organizational and multitasking abilities Positive attitude, energy, and teamwork Qualifications High school diploma or bachelor’s degree (preferred) 1–3 years of retail sales experience (industry-specific experience is a plus) Fluency in local language; English proficiency preferred Work Environment Retail store setting Requires standing for long hours Weekend and holiday availability may be required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Sales target achievement Conversion rate Customer satisfaction scores Inventory accuracy Upselling / cross-selling effectiveness
