Description
We are seeking a passionate, customer-focused, and enthusiastic Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Indian ethnic fashion, excellent communication skills, and a flair for providing personalized customer service. As a Salesperson, you will assist customers in selecting the perfect cotton-based kurtas, kurtis, two-piece sets, palazzos, pants, and gowns, ensuring a delightful shopping experience while driving sales and promoting our brand’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Greet and engage customers warmly, understanding their preferences and styling needs.
Provide expert guidance on selecting cotton-based ethnic apparel, including kurtas, kurtis, two-piece sets, palazzos, pants, and gowns, based on occasion, fit, and personal style.
Educate customers about the unique features of our products, such as handwoven cotton fabrics, eco-friendly dyes, and regional craftsmanship (e.g., Lucknowi chikankari, block prints, or khadi weaves).
Assist with styling tips, such as pairing kurtis with palazzos or suggesting accessories to complete the look.
Sales and Product Promotion:
Actively promote new arrivals, seasonal collections, and special offers to drive sales.
Upsell complementary products, such as dupattas, jewelry, or footwear, to enhance customer purchases.
Meet or exceed monthly sales targets as set by the Store Manager.
Store Operations:
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store display, ensuring all products are neatly arranged and properly labeled.
Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves, checking product availability, and reporting low stock to the manager.
Process transactions accurately using the store’s POS system and handle cash, card, or digital payments.
Customer Relationship Building:
Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat visits and foster brand loyalty.
Collect customer feedback and share insights with the Store Manager to improve product offerings and services.
Promote loyalty programs, discounts, or social media engagement to enhance customer connection with the brand.
Product Knowledge:
Stay informed about the latest trends in cotton-based ethnic wear, including fabric types (e.g., Chanderi, khadi, mulmul), embroidery techniques (e.g., chikankari, phulkari), and styling trends.
Attend training sessions or workshops provided by the store to deepen understanding of Indian ethnic fashion.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in fashion, retail, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
Prior experience in retail sales, preferably in women’s apparel or ethnic fashion, is preferred but not mandatory.
Freshers with a passion for fashion and strong interpersonal skills are welcome to apply.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse customers.
Strong knowledge of or willingness to learn about Indian ethnic apparel, especially cotton-based kurtas, kurtis, palazzos, and gowns.
Ability to style outfits and provide personalized recommendations.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating discounts.
Comfortable using POS systems and basic digital tools.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during festive seasons when the store is busiest.
Preferred QualitiesFamiliarity with Indian ethnic wear trends, such as pairing kurtis with palazzos or styling gowns for festive occasions.
Knowledge of regional cotton-based crafts (e.g., Jaipur block prints, Lucknowi embroidery) to educate customers.
Fluency in Hindi, English and Gujarati to connect with a diverse customer base.
Interest in sustainable fashion and eco-friendly practices.
