Job Description

Job Profile

Conduct research and analysis on energy sector trends, policies, and technologies.
Support preparation of policy and regulatory knowledge products on energy efficiency.
Build and manage national and state-/DISCOM-specific models, including optimal capacity expansion, production cost optimisation, and resource adequacy models.
Assess the integration of energy-efficiency measures within capacity-expansion and system planning models.
Support the organization of review meetings, workshops, and dissemination events.

Experience

2 - 4 Years

Qualification

Post graduate degree in Electrical/ Power System/Energy Economics or a related field.
Minimum two years of research experience.

Skills

- Understanding of energy data management- sectoral transitions- and sustainability frameworks.
- Exposure to the Energy Conservation Act 2001- Electricity Act 2003- and the rules and regulations made under the two Acts.

Strong analytical and research capabilities in energy sector modelling and data analysis.

- Exposure to power system modelling in software such as PLEXOS- GridPath- PyPSA- GAMS.
- Excellent programming skills in Python- MATLAB- or Julia and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI- Tableau- etc.

Excellent communication and writing abilities.
