Work experience

:
5 years (for Master s); 1-3 years (for MPhil); PhD with 0- 1 year of experience

Qualifications:

PhD / MPhil/MA. in Social Work, Sociology, Gender Studies, Anthropology, Development Studies, or other relevant fields.

Specialisation with Essential Criteria Required:
  • Anchored research on gender dimensions of natural resource management, climate change adaptation and mitigation, sustainable development, and environmental governance
  • Design and implement both qualitative and quantitative applied research studies/projects using a gender perspective
  • Knowledge and practice of relevant software in quantitative and qualitative research and referencing
  • Demonstrable knowledge in inter-disciplinary research and impact assessments
  • Research articles published in peer-reviewed journals / Scopus-indexed / high-impact-factor journals focusing on gender, climate change, and natural resource management
  • Ability to guide and lead team members
  • Field experience of working on gender issues in the rural context
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Co-ordination of research and field work
  • Good communication/writing skills in English and knowledge of local language (Marathi Hindi) is an added advantage

:

  • Design research studies and help benchmark sampling and research methodology strategies
  • Design and conduct training and capacity building events focusing on gender and development
  • Write grant proposals from a gender perspective and secure funding for future research projects
  • Deliver Research Publications (reports, journal articles, policy briefs) using a gender perspective
  • Support in creating a repository of evidence-based/demonstrable tools/methodologies, games/models to help create impacts from a gender lens with multiple stakeholders
  • Communicate research results to diverse audiences, including policymakers, practitioners, and the general public, using a gender lens
  • Collaborate with research academic institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) on gender centered research projects and dissemination of findings
  • Stay updated on recent developments and trends in gender centred research and integrate these into the organisation s work.
