We are a third-generation, family-run distribution business specializing in construction materials like Galvanized sheets, coils, TMT Bars, and Alloy Steel. Established in 1965, we bring decades of market expertise combined with an agile, customer-first approach to product distribution and service.

Role Overview:

This is not a desk-only job. We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable conducting deep market research and meeting people on the ground. You’ll be responsible for understanding how Alloy Steel is used, where demand lies, who the potential buyers are, and what influences their purchasing behavior.

This role combines market research, field visits, client interaction, and sales support. It’s ideal for someone curious, driven, and confident enough to step into workshops, fabrication units, and factories to start meaningful conversations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct desk-based and field research to map demand, applications, and market gaps in Alloy Steel
• Visit fabrication units, manufacturers, stockists, and end users to gather insights
• Identify, profile, and build a database of potential customers across industries like Auto, Tool & Die, and Construction
• Analyze market trends related to demand, pricing, supply chain, and competition
• Translate findings into target customer segments and outreach strategies
• Initiate cold calls, client visits, and pitches to generate leads and close sales
• Maintain and manage records of market insights, leads, customer interactions, and deal status
• Coordinate internally for quotations, order processing, and customer service

Candidate Profile:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Metallurgy, Economics, or a related field

Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience or strong enthusiasm in market research, field sales, or market mapping (steel/metals industry preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable in interviews and client meetings
• Self-starter attitude — ability to independently manage schedules, plan visits, and follow leads
• Analytical mindset — capable of converting raw data into actionable insights
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets; experience with CRM tools is an advantage
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally for on-site market interactions
