Project Overview:
You’ll be leading the development of geospatial tools and products within a precision agriculture platform for a global AgTech innovator. The client integrates multi-spectral, hyperspectral, and radar imagery into agricultural workflows to deliver insights to growers, agronomists, and partners across the industry. Your focus will be on building, enhancing, and maintaining advanced remote sensing solutions that turn raw imagery into actionable intelligence. You’ll work within a cross-functional, international environment that includes data scientists, software developers, agronomy R&D, and product teams, with cloud infrastructure based on AWS and GCP.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert for Earth observation datasets, image processing, and geospatial analytics
- Guide the team through requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping, and technical documentation
- Participate in the design, development, evaluation, and interpretation of software tools and algorithms for crop analysis and visualization
- Plan and participate in field research activities to support model development and validation
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Product, Agronomy R&D, and other internal stakeholders
- Manage team resourcing, task scheduling, and deliverable tracking
- Identify and implement training and development initiatives to upskill the team
- Participate in recruitment support (reviewing applications, attending interviews), and assisting with performance evaluations
- Perform employee performance management through coaching and annual reviews
- Support employee performance management through coaching and annual reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned
