Job Description

Join us as a Release Train Manager

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast paced and Agile team, responsible for aligning the vision, planning, and interdependencies of many teams by providing cross-team or domain synchronisation of the portfolio delivery and domain pipeline
With no two days the same, youll have the chance to be a true servant leader and help ensure consistent Agile delivery at scale

What youll do

In this key role, you ll be developing and maintaining the release train. This will include the preparation and review of the release and environment strategy, involving plans and estimation, and management of interdependencies. With your vital leadership, you ll provide cross-team synchronisation, making sure everyone has a clear understanding of how their work helps our customers.

You ll lead on continuous improvement across delivery via various channels, including improving or removing manual steps, and we ll look to you to demonstrably improve release train agility and value to end state customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Enhancing deployment and management phases of the development lifecycle, including through Agile coaching and active contribution to release and environment best practice
Developing and maintaining a secured and scalable technology implementation of Independent price verification use case in finance and risk management to ensure accurate pricing of OTC, exchange-traded derivatives and cash instruments
Implementation of pricing of model-based derivatives including Totem consensus management and calibration of model parameter surfaces, market curve builder for interest rates, foreign exchange and xVA asset classes
Liaising with diverse user groups across front office, quants, risk, treasury finance for BAU project planning and agile/ART deliveries
Working closely with internal and external market data providers and licensing experts to suggest optimal design within cost and quality trade off as required by users

The skills youll need

We re looking for someone with an expert understanding of running complex projects spanning multiple scrum and non-scrum teams. Youll need at least thirteen years of experience in Java APIs, Oracle SQL, AWS cloud, GitLab/ or DevOps and BDD test automation framework.

You ll also need:

Expert level knowledge and proficiency with scaled Agile and P3M tools and methodologies spanning value stream, portfolio, programme and team levels
The ability to prioritise and sequence tasks that are to be delivered by the feature teams
Strong servant leadership capabilities along with the ability to create and share a vision in-line with the bank s
Strong stakeholder skills with the ability to influence both business and technical partners
Experience of running multiple matrix managed teams
