About the Role

Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and achieve regional sales targets, ensuring profitability and sustained growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate Area Sales Managers and Medical Representatives to achieve high performance.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies in alignment with zonal and national objectives.
  • Strengthen market presence across Tamil Nadu by identifying new business opportunities and expanding distribution networks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, distributors, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management teams for brand-building activities, CMEs, and promotional initiatives.
  • Provide regular feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights.
  • Oversee implementation of sales processes, ensure compliance, and support continuous team development.
  • Prepare sales reports, monitor performance metrics, and support decision-making through data-driven insights.

Candidate Profile

  • Education:

    Graduate in Pharmacy or Life Sciences (mandatory); MBA preferred.
  • Experience:

    7-10 years in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role (ASM/RSM level).
  • Track Record:

    Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver consistent regional growth.

Skills Required

  • Deep understanding of the Indian pharmaceutical market, especially in Tamil Nadu.
  • Strong skills in sales planning, forecasting, and territory management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership mindset with ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Analytical, result-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
