JOST India Auto Component Pvt. Ltd incorporated in July 2006 is a wholly owned subsidiary of JOST Werke SE (Germany). JW has offices, plants, and business centres all over the world. In India JOST has established plants in Jamshedpur and Chennai. The company manufactures auto components of proprietary nature for commercial vehicles and agriculture tractors. The companys major customers include Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Daimler, Mahindra, Volvo Eicher etc. apart from Major Trailer builders like Satrac, Black Diamond Motors, Jupiter Wagons etc. The company also engages in exports to intercompany locations as well as third party customers across the world employing around 4,052 people in more than 37 production and sales locations across continents. There are four strong product brands:

JOST, ROCKINGER, TRIDEC, QUICKE

Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Co-ordinate with Axle sales specialist for new applications / customers
  • Sales of full units of Trailer products
  • Sales of spares for truck and trailer products for distributors
  • Price negotiation and finalization for regular Sales orders
  • Generating growth in the specific region for Trailer products (direct and to distributor as applicable in alignment with sales lead for trailers)
  • Increase number of distributors in alignment with Trailer Sales Lead
  • Support in Accounts receivables.
  • Collect sales orders and communicate to plant internal sales

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Good scores (average 60%) throughout the career.
  • Good to have Post degree qualification in Sales & Marketing
  • Experience in handling Organised and Semi-organised Trailer builders across India.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively across the region
  • Dealer handling (preferred), Field service exposure (not a must)
  • Trailer axle / suspension sales experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to influence stakeholders inside and outside the organisation.
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Excellent command over MS Excel and Power point.

Needless to say, shouldering the responsibility of maintaining and increasing the brand value lies with the candidate Co-ordination is required with internal departments like production, logistics, accounts etc. The position often involves complex issues or problems that require careful analysis and diagnosis especially involving OE customers. The incumbent sets priorities and establishes a work plan to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results. The position requires thorough knowledge of company products, and product applications on which intense training would be provided. The position is required to travel frequently to keep in touch with the customer base and generate regular business.
