There are four strong product brands: JOST, ROCKINGER, TRIDEC, QUICKE Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to: Commodity knowledge Steel, sheet metal fabricated parts and/or Hydraulics & Rubber & forging components Research potential vendors, identification and assessment New product development process with suppliers including Non-disclosure agreement, RFQ, Zero-based costing (ZBC), Negotiation and price finalization Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing Part development process following supplier audit with QA team, APQP, PPAP and production regularization Schedule and track orders ensuring timely delivery to suppliers Review supply quality of purchased products through Suppliers score cards (Quality, Cost, Delivery and other attributes) Supplier master management (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) in ERP Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses Prepare and monitor SOB (Share of Business) file and schedule to suppliers. Delivery Follow up & monitoring with Supplier Monitor stock levels (Min and Max, Re-ordering quantity and ABC analysis) and place orders as needed Coordinate with warehouse/stores staff to ensure proper stocks Preferred candidate profile BE / B. Tech in Mechanical Engg. / Degree + PGDBA in Materials Management. Good scores (average 60%) throughout the career Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses Fluency in MS- Office and ERP Software knowledge Expertise in advance Excel and Power point Fluency and command over spoken and written English Experience working in an International organization in the last 5 years Working knowledge on ERP in Supply Chain PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Ability to mentor and coach the team and lead from the front. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop market or influence others inside and outside the organization to take specific actions. The incumbent sets priorities and establishes a work plan to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results. The position requires thorough knowledge of company products, and product applications on which intense training would be provided. The position is required to travel frequently to keep in touch with the customer base and generate regular business.
