Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Initially the role involves project management and responsibility for building a new surface treatment process in the new factory and transition into a responsibility for managing the established paint shop, its processes and the team
• Overall responsible for entire pretreatment, shot blasting, DM plant, Effluent Treatment Plant and Powder coating process
• Creating Process flow, PFMEA, control plan, work instruction, SOPs for paint shop
• Compliance to environmental norms
• Forecast on reduction on paint cost/ consumable cost
• Carry out production based on cycle time and capacity
• Taking preventive & corrective actions for the variations in business situations to optimize the use of the paint shop
• Manpower planning and allocation
• Build healthy relationship with shop floor associates and staffs
• Monitor the stock level of all input material needed for paint shop and ensure optimum WIP for the next production process in the production flow.
• Input material planning along with purchase, production and other internal departments
• Maintain PPM level and control generation of rework / scrap
• Ensure highest levels of 5S in the paint shop

Preferred candidate profile

• Degree or Masters in mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / MSC in Surface Technology
• Good scores (average 60%) throughout the career
• Proficiency and experience in Automotive parts powder coating / painting process
• Experience in Project management from manufacturing industry in the area of surface treatment
• Fluency in MS- Office, ERP Software knowledge
• Expertise in advance Excel and Powerpoint
• Fluency and command over spoken and written English
• Experience working in an International organization in the last 5 years
• Working knowledge on ERP in manufacturing process (MRP)
• Working in powder coating shop dealing with export-oriented business
• Expertise in establishing new powder coating shop
• In depth knowledge on powder coating operation and troubleshooting, defect reduction etc
• Work experience with an International company in the Auto / Agriculture farm tractor industry
• Knowledge on IATF requirements for Paint process

• Ability to mentor and coach the team and lead from the front
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop market or influence others inside and outside the organisation to take specific actions
• Sound analytical skills on problem solving
