Regional Medical Advisor

The role involves building and maintaining strong scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), supporting clinical trials, and providing high-quality, balanced medical and scientific information both externally and internally. You will act as a vital link between the field and internal teams, bringing medical insights that help shape strategy and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

KOL Engagement & Scientific Exchange

• Identify, segment, and engage local KOLs and develop a strong medical expert network
• Jointly develop and implement regional KOL engagement plans with other medical colleagues
• Facilitate in-depth, scientific, and non-promotional discussions related to disease areas and therapies
• Represent the organizations commitment to scientific integrity at medical meetings, congresses, and advisory boards
• Deliver impactful scientific presentations and contribute to content development

Clinical Support & Evidence Generation

• Support identification of clinical trial sites and patient recruitment for Phase IIII studies
• Engage with potential investigators on pre-clinical, clinical, and post-marketing study opportunities
• Facilitate Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS) in line with the development strategy
• Collaborate with clinical operations and development teams to enhance trial execution

Internal Scientific Expertise

• Serve as a medical resource to internal stakeholders, offering disease and product-related scientific training
• Respond to unsolicited medical and scientific queries from healthcare professionals
• Support the development and review of promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy
• Provide insights on the evolving scientific and medical environment that inform business and brand strategies

Stakeholder Education & Scientific Communication

• Educate external stakeholders on disease areas, diagnostics, and treatment pathways
• Develop scientific publications, white papers, and medical literature as needed
• Contribute to advisory boards, symposia, and educational sessions with key stakeholders

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with internal SOPs, medical governance policies, and applicable industry regulations
• Complete all required medical training and product certifications
• Demonstrate professional conduct consistent with ethical standards and company values

Qualifications

Essential:

• MBBS or MD (Pharmacology)
• Sound knowledge of basic research, drug discovery, and clinical development processes
• 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, or research (preferably in Oncology); open to considering MD (Pharmacology) freshers
• Strong scientific acumen and ability to clearly communicate complex medical data
• Proven ability to build relationships with KOLs and influence stakeholders in a complex clinical environment
• Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams
• Strategic mindset with excellent planning, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Desirable:

• Existing network within the oncology ecosystem
• Understanding of breast cancer treatment landscape and emerging therapies
• Experience in engaging with external stakeholders in educational and advisory settings
