About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Debt Management Manager to lead and drive the debt management function across the region. The role is responsible for ensuring sustainable business performance through timely collections, effective recovery, process adherence, and risk mitigation.

This is a strategic leadership position that demands strong operational expertise, people management capability, and deep understanding of consumer finance collections.

Key Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop the regional debt management team to deliver effective collections and recovery.

• Monitor, review, and guide the performance of the regional collections team to achieve monthly and annual collection targets.

• Ensure 100% adherence to collection processes, including system allocation, tracking, cash deposition timelines, and fraud prevention.

Functional Responsibilities

• Implement and execute regional debt management strategies for efficient collections and recovery of outstanding loans.

• Authorize payouts and oversee the rollout of collection payout structure and related policies.

• Enforce collection process compliance; initiate corrective or punitive action with non-performing agencies/agents.

• Drive cost-effective collection initiatives and experiment with new collection models (e.g., tele-calling, digital channels).

• Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between Legal, Residual, and Collections teams for escalations and legal actions.

• Collaborate closely with the regional Sales and Credit teams to ensure high-quality sourcing and portfolio performance.

• Analyze collection patterns, identify risk zones, and coordinate corrective actions with the Program Head.

• Ensure efficient collections across DCC and micro-markets.

• Initiate legal action on higher-bucket delinquent accounts and follow through until resolution.

• Monitor repossessed vehicle sales and minimize loss; track loss line provisions periodically.
