Job Description

Regional Finance Head Crop Protection Business

Purpose of the Role

The incumbent will lead the Finance & Accounts function for the assigned region, ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, strong internal controls, and strategic support to the business. The role demands close collaboration with sales, operations, and corporate finance teams while maintaining financial discipline and enabling sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly finalization of regional Trial Balances with detailed analysis.
  • Ensure balance sheet hygiene through periodic reviews and process controls.
  • Compliance of GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.
  • Control over receivables and scheme liabilities of customers.
  • Strict control in Accounts Payables and Banking.
  • Drive credit control and ensure business hygiene in the region.
  • Provide financial support to sales teams for working capital reduction and margin management.
  • Lead and mentor the regional finance team, ensuring capability development and succession planning.
  • Partner with business leaders to drive cost optimization, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
  • Support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting exercises at the regional level.
  • Ensure timely and accurate MIS reporting to management.
  • Liaise with internal auditors, statutory auditors, and government authorities.
  • Supervise

    Depo Audit, GRN, Travel Expenses, Asset management, Promotional Expenses, & MIRO

    ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Travel across the region to ensure effective financial governance at branch and field locations.

Qualification & Experience

  • Education:

    B. Com, M. Com / MBA - Finance, + ICWA Qualified.
  • Experience:

    Around 15 years, with minimum 78 years post-qualification experience. relevant experience in Agrochemical industries.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in SAP modules (FICO, AR & AP, SD, MM) along with the MS Office
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, VAT and other statutory compliances.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to derive insights from financial data.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • High integrity, adaptability, and business partnership mindset.
  • Proven track record of managing regional/corporate finance with strong team leadership experience
