Role Description
- The Reference Data Analyst supports regulatory reporting by performing daily data aggregation for 'party' records.

Your key responsibilities
- Execute daily data aggregation tasks for diverse 'party' data, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of datasets to reporting teams, following defined SLAs.
- Perform comprehensive data quality checks, validation rules, and control procedures on incoming and aggregated party data to identify and log errors.
- Assist in maintaining control reports and dashboards to monitor data quality metrics and pipeline health, supporting continuous oversight of data integrity.
- Investigate and document identified data discrepancies, quality issues, or aggregation failures within party records, tracking their impact diligently.
- Support collaboration with source system owners and IT to facilitate resolution of identified data defects at their origin, ensuring corrective actions.
- Maintain and update operational runbooks, process documentation, and data lineage, ensuring compliance with banking policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide support as a point of contact for reporting teams, offering clarification, issue updates, and assisting with data quality status communication.
- Assist in identifying and documenting improvements to existing data aggregation processes, tools, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Your skills and experience
Domain Skills
- Over 5 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, with 3+ year focused on data management or reference data.
- Basic understanding of diverse banking product data (deposits, loans, cards) and their relationships with customer and account party records.
- Familiarity with critical banking reference data including currency codes, LEIs, and branch codes, supporting accurate record aggregation.
- Awareness of financial services data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for sensitive party data handling.
- Foundational understanding of key financial reporting requirements (Basel III, IFRS, CCAR) and how aggregated data contributes.
- Ability to assist in identifying data-related risks (quality, security, non-compliance) impacting financial reporting and critical submissions.
- Familiarity with internal audit requirements, data governance frameworks, and basic operational risk controls within banking.
- Proficiency in creating MI Reporting using advanced Excel functions and assisting with data visualizations in tools like Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of understanding and contributing to breaking down complex data situations.
- Ability to foster trust and collaborate effectively within a team, demonstrating good communication skills with various stakeholders.

- Ability to visualise complex topics to converse with stakeholders.
Technical skills
- Expert at data identification, validation, correction and reconciliation.
