A recruitment consultant acts as a bridge between job seekers and companies, finding and placing qualified candidates in open positions. Their work involves business development to attract clients, sourcing candidates through various channels, and screening and interviewing applicants. Key responsibilities include managing the hiring process, negotiating offers, and advising both clients and candidates on the job market. Core responsibilities Client and business development: Proactively reaching out to companies to understand their staffing needs and offering recruitment services. Candidate sourcing: Finding potential candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, and direct headhunting. Candidate screening and assessment: Reviewing résumés, conducting initial interviews, and assessing candidates to ensure they meet job requirements. Hiring process management: Guiding candidates through the application process, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the final placement. Negotiation and closing: Mediating salary and benefits discussions between the candidate and client once an offer is extended. Administrative tasks: Performing background checks, verifying work rights, and maintaining candidate and client databases.
