Job Description

The Reception cum Telecaller serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, efficiently managing the front office, handling calls, and ensuring smooth communication across hospital departments. This role involves welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, managing inquiries, and performing follow-ups with compassion and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a pleasant and professional experience at all times.​ Manage patient registration, check-ins, and appointment scheduling both in-person and over the phone. Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls related to appointments, follow-ups, and medical service inquiries. Provide accurate information regarding hospital services, doctors’ schedules, and consultation fees.​ Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy, organized, and child-friendly. Coordinate with nursing staff and doctors for smooth patient flow and timely updates. Assist in maintaining and updating patient databases, appointment logs, and tele calling records. Take follow-up calls for patient feedback, vaccination reminders, and appointment confirmations. Manage courier packages, mail, and administrative documentation. Handle basic billing or coordination with the accounts section if required. Requirements Educational Qualification: Minimum 12th pass or graduate degree preferred.​ Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a receptionist or tele caller, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare environment. Strong communication skills in English and local languages. Proficiency in basic computer operations and hospital management software. Pleasant, empathetic, and patient-centered attitude. Ability to handle high call volumes and multitask effectively in a busy environment. Key Skills: Patient service and communication Telephone etiquette and listening skills Time management and multitasking Data entry and record maintenance Basic knowledge of hospital procedures and confidentiality policies.​ Work Conditions Full-time, on-site position in a hospital environment. Must be comfortable working during peak hours, weekends, or shifts as required by hospital operations.
