R&D Manager - Water Proofing & Construction Chemicals

Role & responsibilities

• Strong knowledge on waterproofing technologies and construction materials
• focuses on developing innovative waterproofing Products & solutions, including membranes, coatings, sealants, other materials and improving existing products, and leading research initiatives to meet market demands
• Lead the development of new waterproofing products
• Conduct research on raw materials, chemical formulations, and advanced technologies for improved performance
• Focus on developing sustainable and eco-friendly waterproofing solutions
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify market needs and emerging trends in waterproofing solutions
• Design and oversee testing protocols to evaluate the performance of waterproofing products under various conditions
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications
• Develop innovative waterproofing technologies and formulations to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness
• Implement eco-friendly and sustainable practices in product design and development
• Manage and mentor a team of researchers, chemists, and engineers in the R&D department
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless product development and commercialization
• Benchmark products against competitors to ensure superior performance and differentiation
• Maintain detailed records of research, formulations, test results, and product development processes
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure that all products and processes comply with local and international safety and environmental regulations
• Liaise with regulatory authorities for approvals and certifications
• Provide technical expertise and support to customers regarding product application and performance
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients, applicators, and internal teams on new products and technologies
• Procure and maintain laboratory equipment and raw materials for research purposes
• Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques
• Collaborate with production teams to implement quality improvement initiatives
• Investigate quality issues or customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct site visits to ensure the correct application of waterproofing products
• Provide technical guidance to clients and contractors on quality-related concerns
• Promote eco-friendly and sustainable practices in waterproofing material production and application
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: B.tech / MSc / M.tech chemicals

• Strong Knowledge on various waterproofing solutions and Construction Chemicals
• The candidate should be good at Communication, Decision Making, Problem Solving

And Time Management
