R&D Design Engineer (Mechanical)

Job description Position Summary: We are seeking two skilled Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team for an ongoing project. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in mechanical design, drafting, ED proficiency in SolidWorks and Fusion 360, and knowledge of robotics design principles. These positions will play a critical role in the development and execution of our current engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and Fusion 360 software. Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed design documentation. Work on robotics design, focusing on mechanisms and structural components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design specifications align with project requirements. Conduct simulations and stress tests to ensure mechanical integrity and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototype testing and production phases. Support the manufacturing process by ensuring designs are optimized for production and assembly. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for 3D modeling, design and drafting. Experience in robotics design, sheet metal design, solid part modeling 3D print design. Should have good basic knowledge of Engineering drawing and drafting. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of materials science and selection for mechanical components. Familiarity with CAM software and CNC machining processes. Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) is a plus. Familiarity with simulation tools and prototyping processes is desirable. .
