Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated RF Engineer to join our team. The RF

Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and optimization of RF

systems and components for various applications. The ideal candidate shall have a strong

background in RF engineering principles, with expertise in RF circuit design, testing, and

troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, simulate, and optimize RF circuits and systems for wireless communication, satellite, or other RF applications.

2. Develop RF hardware solutions, including RF amplifiers, filters, mixers, oscillators, antennas, and other RF components.

3. Perform RF testing and characterization of components and systems, including gain, noise figure, linearity, impedance matching, and other RF parameters.

4. Use RF simulation tools and electromagnetic modeling software (e.g., ADS, HFSS, CST) to analyze and optimize RF designs.

5. Conduct design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions to drive innovation and problem-solving in RF design projects.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software engineers, and product managers to define project requirements, specifications, and deliverables.

7. Develop test plans, procedures, and documentation for RF testing and validation of prototypes and production units.

8. Troubleshoot and debug RF hardware and system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

9. Stay current with advancements in RF technology, industry trends, and emerging standards to ensure the competitiveness and relevance of our RF solutions.

10. Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external partners on RF-related issues, including customer inquiries, product integration, and field support.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Proven experience working in RF engineering roles, with expertise in RF circuit design, simulation, and testing.

3. Strong knowledge of RF principles, including microwave theory, transmission line theory, impedance matching, and RF system architecture.

4. Experience with RF simulation tools and electromagnetic modelling software (e.g., ADS, HFSS, CST).

5. Proficiency in using RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, vector network analysers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.

6. Hands-on experience with PCB layout and RF design techniques, including microstrip, stripline, and RF grounding.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex RF hardware and system issues.

8. Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

9. Experience with RF standards and protocols (e.g., GSM, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth) is a plus.

10. Familiarity with RF regulatory compliance and certification processes (e.g., FCC, ETSI) is desirable.
