Quantity Surveyor

Position Title: BOQ / Estimation Engineer
Department: Estimation / Projects
Industry: Interior Fit-out / Construction / Contracting
Reporting To: Project Manager / Estimation Head

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
• Analyze tender documents, construction drawings, and technical specifications for quantity take-off.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontractor works, and equipment.
• Coordinate with designers, procurement team, and site engineers to verify quantities and specifications.
• Float material and subcontractor inquiries to vendors and compare quotations.
• Assist in value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Prepare rate analysis and maintain updated price databases for materials and labor.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and risk factors in tenders.
• Prepare and submit commercial proposals / quotations to clients.
• Support negotiations and finalization of contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Track project cost variations and updates during execution.
• Maintain proper documentation of estimates and vendor quotations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Interior Design or relevant field.
• 1–5 years of experience in BOQ preparation / Estimation within interior fitout / construction.
• Strong knowledge of materials, joinery, MEP, and civil works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings (Architectural, MEP, Joinery, etc.).
• Strong negotiation and vendor coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under timelines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,199.06 - ₹15,000.00 per month
