Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Civil Construction (Roads & Highways) Location: Any part of Karnataka Experience Required: 8 to 20 Years Industry: Infrastructure / Construction / Civil Engineering Employment Type: Full Time Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting, billing, and contract administration for road and highway projects across Karnataka. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of civil construction methodologies and standards, with hands-on experience in infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications. Develop and manage BOQs, rate analysis, and cost control procedures. Monitor project budgets and update forecasts based on actual site progress. Prepare and verify subcontractor and client bills as per contract terms. Conduct site measurements and cross-verify with approved drawings and work executed. Assist in tender preparation, vendor evaluation, and contract management. Ensure compliance with MORTH/IRC specifications in quantity and billing activities. Analyze variations and claims and prepare relevant documentation for approvals. Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and planning teams for project alignment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work executed and certified. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Certification in Quantity Surveying preferred). 8–20 years of experience in quantity surveying roles in roads and highways. Proficient in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and rate analysis. Strong knowledge of government schedule of rates (SoR), IRC, and MORTH specifications. Familiarity with billing software and tools like AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills. Willing to be posted at any project site across Karnataka. Preferred: Prior experience in government-funded road projects (NHAI, PMGSY, SHDP, etc.). Exposure to FIDIC/CPWD contract conditions is an added advantage. Remuneration: As per industry standards and based on experience and expertise.
