Job Title: Quality Engineer Civil Construction (Roads & Highways) Location: Any part of Karnataka Experience Required: 8 to 20 Years Industry: Infrastructure / Construction / Civil Engineering Employment Type: Full Time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities in road and highway construction projects across Karnataka. The ideal candidate will ensure that all construction work complies with applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor quality control procedures at project sites. Ensure all construction activities adhere to IRC, MORTH, BIS, and project-specific specifications. Conduct inspections and testing of construction materials, workmanship, and finished works. Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection checklists, test reports, and NCRs. Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party labs for quality audits and testing. Provide guidance and training to site teams on quality standards and best practices. Monitor and ensure proper calibration of equipment and tools used in testing. Review material test certificates, mix designs, and concrete/asphalt quality records. Report quality issues and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Support the project manager in maintaining compliance with all quality-related documentation and requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering. 8–20 years of experience in QA/QC roles in road/highway/infrastructure projects. In-depth knowledge of construction quality standards and testing procedures. Experience with highway materials such as GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, and concrete. Familiarity with IRC/MORTH specifications and relevant codes. Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC documentation tools. Willingness to work at project locations anywhere in Karnataka. Preferred: Experience with NHAI/PMGSY/State Highway or similar government-funded projects. Certifications in QA/QC, ISO standards, or internal auditing will be an advantage. Remuneration: Attractive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
