We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and material quantity take-offs for construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate cost control, provide support in contract administration, and collaborate with project teams to optimize resource allocation. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
· Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
· Develop project budgets and perform cost analysis.
· to prepare rate analysis for civil construction items as per CPWD/DSR format.
· Evaluate the cost implications of project changes and variations.
· Measure and quantify all construction activities.
· Prepare bills of accurate quantity take-off (BOQ) based on project drawings and specifications. Quantity take-off must be supported by measurement sheets and hand sketches.
· to take off accurate quantities from construction / GFC drawings
· Draft, review, and manage construction contracts and agreements.
· Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
· Handle claims and dispute resolution as required.
· Prepare and submit interim and final bills for clients and subcontractors.
· Verify and certify subcontractor and supplier invoices.
· Maintain accurate records of project expenditures and financial transactions.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
· Provide technical advice and support on cost-related issues.
· Monitor project progress and prepare progress reports.
· Having resourcefulness and contacts with suppliers, vendors and contractors of various civil construction trade items will be of an added advantage.
· Implement cost control measures to keep projects within budget.
· Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts.
· Analyse cost data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Ensure all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
· Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory authorities.
Diploma /B.E. /B. Tech /M.E. or M. Tech in Civil Engineering /Construction or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying
Should have minimum of 3 – 5 years of quantity surveying experience in civil contracting (Construction Company) (added advantage if have experience of on-site quantity surveying and BOQ) or consultancy organizations.
· Should be a thorough theoretical and practical/field knowledge of civil construction activities like RCC work, road and infrastructure work, building work, structural steel work, architectural and finishing items, plumbing and sanitary items, aluminium section work, etc.
· Should be able to work with various design disciplines like structural engineers, architects, etc.
· Should be proficient in cost estimating software, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other relevant software.
· Should be experienced in preparing, checking and certifying civil construction running and final bills.
· Should be experienced with reconciliation of cement, steel and other free supply material.
· Should have strong knowledge of various thumb rules and ratios for civil construction items such as cement consumption, reinforcement consumption, etc.
· Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Should have high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Should have ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., RICS, CIQS) are a plus.
