Job Description for Quality Manager Overview: As a Quality Manager within our organic products company, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control procedures throughout the production process. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our organic products meet and exceed industry standards, providing consumers with the highest level of quality and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Quality Control Oversight : Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems and procedures and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance programs. Team Leadership : Lead a team of quality control professionals, providing guidance and support and conducting training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to organic products and ensure compliance with local and international quality and safety standards. Product Testing and Analysis : Establish protocols for testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products and collaborate with laboratory technicians to analyse and interpret test results. Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality. Quality Reporting : Generate and analyse quality reports to identify trends and areas for improvement and present regular quality performance updates to management. Supplier Quality Management : Collaborate with procurement to evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality criteria and conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards. Customer Complaint Resolution : Address customer complaints related to product quality, implement corrective actions and implement strategies to minimize customer quality-related concerns. Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with production, R&D, and other departments to address quality-related issues and provide support during the introduction of new products or processes. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Quality Management, Food Science, or a related field. Proven experience in quality management, preferably in the organic products industry. In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures, regulations, and best practices. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
