Job Description

Job Summary:

The Head of Quality will lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions across the molding plant operations. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, driving continuous improvement, and managing a team of quality professionals. The role requires deep technical knowledge of molding processes and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, implement, and maintain quality systems in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or industry-specific standards.
  • Oversee inspection, testing, and validation activities for injection molded / compression molded parts and components.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal rejections and customer complaints.
  • Ensure adherence to incoming, in-process, and final inspection protocols and documentation.
  • Interface directly with customers for audits, complaints, and quality improvement plans.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs such as rejection rate, customer PPM, NCRs, etc.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and help develop vendor quality systems.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and design teams for process optimization and product quality enhancement.
  • Lead internal audits, management reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Mentor and develop the quality team to build strong technical and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of plastic/rubber molding processes – including tooling, cycle time optimization, defect analysis, and part dimensional control.
  • Hands-on experience with quality tools, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans.
  • Excellent understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and measurement instruments.
  • Experience working with OEMs / Tier-1 customers in automotive, electrical, or consumer goods segments is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and handle customer interactions.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and quality software/tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
