Description
As a quality management and analysis professional with extensive experience in the jewelry or luxury goods industry, you will be expected to possess in-depth knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections of jewelry using your expertise in gems, diamonds, metals, and jewelry manufacturing while adhering to quality standards. You will be required to handle quality inspections for various buyers according to AQL standards and buyer requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a feedback mechanism between different stakeholders such as design, manufacturing teams, vendors, AFSS, and merchandising teams to facilitate decision-making based on data. You will also play a crucial role in training auditors to achieve optimal scores and maintain smooth working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially within manufacturing and vendor networks. Your key responsibilities will revolve around developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality management systems to ensure that all jewelry products meet quality standards. Additionally, you will lead and manage a team of quality analysts and inspectors, oversee quality control procedures, and continuously improve quality processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Compliance with industry regulations, standards, and certifications, problem-solving related to quality issues, reporting quality metrics to senior management, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure quality throughout the supply chain are also integral parts of this role. Your proficiency in quality management software, data analysis tools, and effective communication with cross-functional partners and clients will be essential for success in this position. Your daily tasks will involve handling inspections in softline, hardline, home textile, and jewelry, collecting and recording inspection data, maintaining client reporting structures, and communicating production and development matters with merchandisers.
