Job Description

Role & responsibilities

To ensure adherence to company standards, regulatory norms, and customer expectations by conducting regular audits and inspections across all stores. The role is critical in identifying deviations in SOPs, hygiene, food safety, and environmental and social governance (ESG) practices, while driving a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

Conduct regular planned and surprise audits across stores using standardized checklists.
Cover all operational areas: sales floor, backroom, cold storage, receiving bay, staff hygiene, and customer service zones.
Capture ratings, photographic evidence, and remarks to support findings.
Verify strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across departments.
Check implementation of merchandising storage and pest control.
Monitor food safety standards including FSSAI guidelines, expiry checks, temperature logs, and cleanliness.
Ensure hygienic practices are being followed for perishables, bakery, dairy, and fresh produce.
Highlight non-compliance areas and suggest actionable recommendations.
Maintain comprehensive audit reports, dashboards, and compliance scores.
Submit periodic quality summaries for leadership review.
Assist in training store teams on SOPs, hygiene practices, and food safety standards.
Raise awareness about quality culture and zero tolerance for lapses.
Review ESG-related practices such as waste segregation, plastic-free initiatives, energy efficiency, and employee welfare.
