Quality Engineer Valmet manufacturing at Markal, Pune.

This position reports to “Quality Manager, Pune Operations”. In this position you will have an opportunity To ensure the quality of components and assemblies used in industries by implementing quality standards across fabrication, machining, and painting processes, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvements for customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.In this position, you will be required to,
- Create Quality Assurance and Control plan for each product/ section with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct regular inspections at manufacturing location and supplier locations according to established processes and checklists, especially for Raw material, sheet metal and steel fabrication, castings, machining and painting.
- Detailed planning of quality inspections according to established delivery quality inspection plan
- Create and store inspection reports according to established processes
- Engage with stakeholders for regular progress reporting.
- Monitor and supervise the production process and project delivery, till marking and packing
- Create non-conformity reports when issues are discovered and ensure that corrections are made for established non-conformity reports. Perform RCCA.
- Witnessing different types of NDTs as per QAP & Project requirement. Also witnessing different testing like Pneumatic testing, Hydro Testing, Run Test of assemblies etc.
- Works independently to complete given assignments and projects, carrying out day-to-day quality development activities. Analyses and improves current ways of working.
- Provide improvements input to internal stakeholders after inspections
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits (ISO 9001,14001, 45001 and ISO 3834, etc.).
To Succeed This Role, You Will Need
Bachelor/ master’s degree in mechanical engineering.3-7 years of experience in relevant field. Understanding and knowledge of Quality management systems In depth knowledge of steel and stainless-steel grades, welding processes, filler materials, shielding gases, heat inputs and pre-heating with deep knowledge of different kind of welding defects and acceptance criteria, machining and dimensional acceptance criteria Experience in working on fabrication, machining processes, casting, painting etc. processes and components. Knowledge of finishing and pickling methods including painting process principles and different inspection methods. Knowledge of EN, ISO, ASME standards. Thorough know how on geometrical tolerances and knowledge measurement methodology Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001,45001, ISO 3834, and welding/painting standards. Familiar with measuring instruments. Certification in NDT Level II (PT/VT) as per ASNT/EN standard. Proactive mindset. Go along with company HSE procedures and practices. Effective communicator with strong documentation and problem-solving skills. English language, written and spoken, is mandatory Willingness for travelling.
