Quality Engineer for Sheet Metal Fabricator Manufacturing

Job Description

Quality Control: Perform in-process and final product inspections on using various testing methods (dimensional checks, visual inspections, destructive testing, etc.). Monitor critical process parameters during production to identify potential quality issues early on. Collect data and analyze quality trends to identify areas for improvement. Document inspection results and non-conformance reports. Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards in accordance with industry regulations and company specifications. Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with quality management system (QMS) Investigate and address quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements and minimize defects. Generate quality reports and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Analyze data to identify trends and patterns impacting quality. Present findings to management and stakeholders. Maintain and update quality documentation including specifications, procedures, and work instructions. Provide quality training to production personnel on new procedures and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering teams on new product development to ensure design for quality.
