Quality Engineer for Sheet Metal Fabricator Manufacturing

As a Quality Control specialist, you will be responsible for conducting in-process and final product inspections utilizing a variety of testing methods such as dimensional checks, visual inspections, and destructive testing. Your primary role will involve monitoring critical process parameters during production to detect potential quality issues at an early stage. You will be required to collect data and analyze quality trends to pinpoint areas that require improvement. Your duties will also include documenting inspection results and non-conformance reports, as well as developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards that align with industry regulations and company specifications. Furthermore, you will conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with the quality management system (QMS) and investigate quality issues, including performing root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans. Collaboration with production teams will be essential to implement process enhancements and reduce defects. You will be expected to generate quality reports and metrics to monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and analyze data to recognize trends impacting quality. Presenting findings to management and stakeholders will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will maintain and update quality documentation, including specifications, procedures, and work instructions, and provide quality training to production personnel on new procedures and quality standards. Working closely with engineering teams on new product development will also be a part of your responsibilities to ensure design for quality.
