Quality Engineer – Aerospace / Drone / Forging Industry

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineers with a strong background in aerospace, drone technology, or forging-based manufacturing. The QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all components meet rigorous industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality norms. The role demands strong inspection skills, analytical thinking, and hands-on quality assurance expertise.

Key Responsibilities:1. Quality Control & Assurance

• Develop and implement inspection procedures for raw materials, in-process parts, and final products.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Oversee quality aspects of heat treatment, machining, and surface finishing processes.

2. Inspection & Testing

• Conduct dimensional, mechanical, and metallurgical tests using equipment such as CMM, hardness testers, spectrometers, etc.
• Analyze microstructures, grain flow, and mechanical properties of forged or machined parts.
• Coordinate with suppliers for quality checks on incoming raw materials.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
• Maintain traceability and quality documentation in accordance with audit and customer requirements.

4. Process Improvement

• Identify quality bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Work with production teams to reduce defects like cracks, porosity, laps, and inclusions in forged parts.

5. Customer & Regulatory Compliance

• Address customer quality concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, SAE, DIN, or customer-specific standards.
• Assist in customer audits and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years in quality assurance/control in forging, aerospace, drone components, or metal manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of forging defects, metallurgy, and component inspection.
• Software: Proficiency in ERP systems, AutoCAD, SolidWorks is an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
