Job Description

Location: RR Kabel Ltd, Silvassa Manufacturing Plant.

Position Overview:

The Quality Controller will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and testing the production processes and finished products to ensure they meet RR Kabel’s quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations. The role involves close coordination with production, R&D, and quality assurance teams to maintain consistent product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products (wires, cables, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, BIS, and other regulatory standards applicable to cable manufacturing.
  • Maintain and update inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.
  • Operate and calibrate quality control equipment such as tensile testers, spark testers, insulation resistance meters, etc.
  • Identify and report non-conformities in products or processes; follow up with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives in coordination with QA and Production teams.
  • Conduct periodic audits of shop-floor processes to ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions.
  • Provide feedback to production staff on quality issues and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of test samples and records.
  • Assist in training workers and operators on quality standards and inspection methods.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma / B.Tech / B.Sc in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related discipline.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Quality Control / QA, preferably in a cable, wire, or electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of testing methods for electrical wires & cables (IS/IEC standards).
  • Familiarity with tools like micrometers, vernier calipers, insulation testers, HV test sets, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and documentation practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,400.26 - ₹40,267.00 per month
