Job Description

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

NOTE

  • This is a Managerial role requiring in-depth industry knowledge and experience. Senior Level Candidates are welcome.

  • International Travel experience is mandatory (Especially China).


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely completion of project milestones within the new product introduction process
  • Conduct site visits of new potential suppliers to ensure compliance with Rakindus standards
  • Execute tasks assigned within the organization’s Product Lifecycle Management software
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s garment construction requirements to be able to apply this during development and sample review
  • Review development samples on site with suppliers to ensure accuracy prior to sample delivery to US office
  • Conduct product quality audits at Rakindus suppliers according to ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 inspection standard
  • Develop and modify inspection protocols for onsite auditing
  • Identify and execute corrective action plans with suppliers to ensure resolution of quality issues found during inspections
  • Complete reports, spreadsheets, and documents related to inspection to capture data and results.


Qualifications

  • High experience and strong knowledge in Textile and Apparel Quality Control
  • Knowledge of AQL and inspection methods for apparel, textiles & footwear
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or a combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in product development
  • Experience working within a Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) system


Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of product development, production planning, manufacturing, supply chain techniques and optimization for apparel and decoration
  • Ability to identify issues prior to escalation, quickly problem solve, collaborate, and implement solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving and organization skills


Working Environment and Physical Demands


  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 60%
