🔍 About the Role

We’re looking for a QA / Test Engineer with 2+ years of experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality products and great user experiences.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure our web and/or mobile applications are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.

You’ll work across manual testing, automation, API testing, and performance testing, bringing a strong quality-first mindset to everything you do.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing:

Analyse requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

Design and execute test cases, scenarios, and checklists

Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing

Log, track, and verify defects with clear reproduction steps

Validate UI/UX consistency and business logic

Automation Testing:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications

Work with tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress

Implement maintainable frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model)

Identify and prioritise test cases for automation

Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and analyse failures

API & Backend Testing:

Perform REST API testing using Postman / Insomnia

Validate payloads, authentication, headers, and status codes

Write and maintain basic automated API tests

Verify API and database data consistency

Load & Performance Testing:

Database & Data Validation:

Validate data integrity and correctness

Write basic SQL queries

Test CRUD operations and data flow

Cross-Platform Testing:

Process & Collaboration:

Collaborate with developers and product managers

Contribute to improving QA processes and test strategies

Ensure quality across the SDLC

🔐 Security & Quality Awareness

Basic understanding of application security

Awareness of OWASP Top 10

Perform risk-based and exploratory testing

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a QA / Test Engineer

Strong manual testing fundamentals

Hands-on automation testing experience

API and basic performance testing knowledge

Familiarity with Agile practices

Basic SQL knowledge

Understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST, browsers)

🤝 Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to clearly articulate defects and risks

Ownership mindset and eagerness to learn

⭐ Nice to Have

Mobile testing or automation (Appium)

Accessibility testing awareness (WCAG basics)

BDD experience (Cucumber / Gherkin)

Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools
