Lead QA Engineer – Web Applications

About the Role

Lead QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor QA engineers while driving quality and continuous improvement.
  • Define and execute test strategies across functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Build and enhance automated test suites using Selenium/Playwright/Cypress.
  • Improve automation frameworks and ensure strong CI/CD integration.
  • Perform manual, exploratory, and regression testing for new features.
  • Track QA metrics, ensure defect-free releases, and drive QA best practices.
  • Work closely with development and product teams to define acceptance criteria.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of QA experience, with 2+ years in team leadership.
  • Strong experience in web application testing (UI, API, integration).
  • Hands-on automation experience with modern tools/frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Jira/TestRail/Zephyr and Git.
  • Familiarity with AccelQ is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Scripting in JavaScript, Python, or Java.
  • Exposure to performance and security testing.
  • Experience in SaaS or large-scale web applications.
