Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our growing team at Kernshell. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in software testing within the IT industry and exposure to testing web applications, mobile apps, and Microsoft 365 solutions.

As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product teams to identify issues early, validate fixes, and help deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to understand requirements and quality expectations.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, websites, and Microsoft 365-based solutions.
• Perform functional, regression, usability, and basic performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools.
• Execute test cases thoroughly and report testing results clearly and accurately.
• Retest issues after fixes and ensure validation is completed before release.
• Participate in requirement and design discussions to provide quality feedback early.
• Maintain test documentation as per standard QA practices.
• Assist in improving testing processes and workflows.
• Stay updated with the latest testing trends, tools, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in software testing within an IT environment.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of manual testing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience working with web applications, mobile platforms (Android/iOS), and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Basic understanding of automation testing is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools.
• Experience with API or database testing.
• Understanding of Agile methodology.
• Exposure to security or performance testing concepts.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹11,361.28 - ₹50,028.59 per month
