QA/QC Engineer for Solar Project

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) activities for solar PV projects.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable IS / IEC standards.
• Perform incoming material inspections for solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and BOS materials.
• Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Quality Inspection Plans (QIP), and Method Statements.
• Conduct pre-installation, in-process, and post-installation inspections at site.
• Monitor installation activities including:
• Module mounting and alignment
• Structure erection and torque verification
• DC/AC cabling, earthing, and lightning protection system
• Support testing and commissioning activities:
• String testing
• Insulation Resistance (IR) test
• Continuity test
• IV curve testing and inverter checks
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with site teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients on quality-related matters.
• Maintain and control quality documentation, checklists, test reports, and as-built records.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
• Support internal, client, and third-party quality audits and inspections.
• Ensure integration of quality and HSE requirements at the project site.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (Utility-scale / Rooftop / Ground-mounted).
• Good understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection techniques, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of IS / IEC standards applicable to solar projects.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• QA/QC or Quality Management certification (preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹316,573.89 - ₹473,244.85 per year
